Multicultural Families — Gyeonggi Drops 90-Day Residency Rule for Childcare Fee Support

다문화 — 경기도, 외국인 자녀 보육료 '90일 거주요건' 폐지

Starting in July, Gyeonggi Province has relaxed childcare fee support for foreign children — once registered as a foreign resident, families can receive daycare fee support regardless of how long they've lived in the province. Previously, both parent and child needed 90+ days of residency. The change, made through a revised local ordinance, means newly arrived foreign families can access support immediately. It covers foreign children aged 0-5 attending daycare centers in Gyeonggi.
