International Students: Part-Time Work Hours Limit in Korea

외국인 유학생, 아르바이트 시간 제한 알고 계신가요?

If you're studying in Korea on a D-2 visa, you're allowed to work part-time up to 20 hours per week during the semester. During school vacations, there's no time restriction on working. Exceeding the allowed hours can result in penalties, including cancellation of your visa status — so be careful. Always check with your university's international office or the Immigration Office before starting any job. And don't forget to get a written employment contract to protect your rights. ※ For details, consulting with a licensed administrative agent (행정사) is recommended.
