4th Round of 2026 E-9 Foreign Worker Employment Permit Applications Opens

From September 14 to 29, the Ministry of Employment and Labor is accepting the 4th round of 2026 new E-9 foreign worker employment permit (고용허가제) applications at local employment centers nationwide. This round covers 12,357 workers total — 9,020 in manufacturing, 1,906 in agriculture/livestock, 897 in fishing, 394 in construction, and 140 in services. Employers must first complete at least 7 days of local hiring efforts before applying, and submitting an application does not guarantee a hire. Results will be announced on the 16th of next month.
