Presentation on Foreign Resident Settlement Support Platform Held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Korea
AI-Based Multilingual Support Platform Introduced to Enhance Employment, Visa, and Settlement Assistance for Foreign Residents
On May 22, a presentation was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Korea to introduce support services designed to assist foreign residents living in Korea as well as prospective migrants planning to enter the country.
The event was attended by embassy officials, representatives of foreign communities, and Korean business leaders. Various initiatives aimed at helping foreigners overcome challenges related to employment, visas, administrative procedures, legal matters, and daily life settlement in Korea were introduced and discussed.
A key highlight of the event was the presentation of the AI-powered multilingual support platform, WithKorea24, including its service vision and operational plans.
Mr. Byung-Ok Park, CEO of WithKorea24, stated:
"The biggest difficulties faced by foreigners living in Korea are the lack of accessible information and language barriers. Our goal is to create an environment where people can easily access employment, visa, legal, and settlement information through a smartphone and connect directly with relevant professionals when needed."
During the presentation, the platform's major functions were introduced, including real-time consultation services, country-specific community channels, employment matching services, and an emergency support system for foreign residents.
Discussions also focused on the challenges Korean companies face in recruiting and managing foreign workers. An official from the Embassy of Uzbekistan commented:
"Although exchanges between Korea and Uzbekistan continue to grow and the number of international students is increasing, there is still a lack of stable employment opportunities and effective management systems for foreign residents. We have high expectations for the operational direction of platforms such as WithKorea24."
The embassy and platform representatives agreed to continue practical-level meetings to explore future cooperation opportunities.
Participants expressed optimism regarding the expansion of people-to-people exchanges between Korea and Uzbekistan and the strengthening of support systems for foreign residents. They also exchanged views on potential areas of cooperation across various sectors.
The presentation is being viewed as an important starting point for enhancing settlement support for foreign residents in Korea and expanding private-sector exchanges between the two countries.
In addition, WithKorea24 announced plans to establish a stable workforce supply system connecting Korean companies with Uzbek migrants. To support this initiative, the platform will work closely with Mr. Tae-Sik Shin, Chairman of the Korea Migrant Employment Support Central Association, to provide advisory services on legal, administrative, and visa-related procedures associated with foreign worker recruitment.
Furthermore, the organization has agreed to launch a limited-time free consultation campaign for Korean companies seeking to hire foreign workers. The initiative aims to promote stable and compliant foreign employment practices while helping businesses navigate the often-complex recruitment process. It is expected that many Korean companies will benefit from these support services.
